The High Solu / Dudh Kunda trek provides trekkers an insider look at the high mountains and remote area of Solu in the southern part of Everest region. Solu is famous for its bio-diversity, virgin landscape and mountain vistas and has many exciting attractions that are yet to be explored. The trail passes through high pasture land, authentic Sherpa villages and villages of other people providing trekkers’ an opportunity to experience the multi-culture of the region with its beautiful natural scenery.
This is truly a trek into the most beautiful and remote parts of the Himalayas via off the tourist track allowing access to hidden monasteries and a chance to experience some of the renowned Nepali hospitality and culture finally leading us to the windswept open ridges of Pike peak (4065m) and Dudh Kunda. Ascending to summit of Pike Peak (4065m) you will catch incredible panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas including the seven above 8000 m. (Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu, Annapurna and Shishapangma) and many other snow capped peaks like; Gauri Shanker, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Ama Dablem, Numbur, Khatang , Karelung, Mera, Thamserku etc all in a horizon and feel an amazing sense of achievement as you reach the summit of Pike Peak (4065m). The region is also diverse in flora and fauna with 5 different species of rhododendrons and various wildlife. Those who visit the area in spring (mid March to April) will be highly amazed by beauty of rhododendron flowers.
After witnessing the incredible views from Pike peak (4065 m) we descend to Junbeshi a beautiful Sherpa village through forest of rhododendron, pine and fir to visit another highlight of the trek “Dudh Kunda” passing through Thupten Chholing one of the biggest and beautiful monastery in the area. Dudh Kunda literally means “Milky Lake" and is situated at the foot of Mt. Numbur and Mt. Karelung (one of the few unclimbed summits of its size left in Nepal). It is regarded as a holy lake and devotees believe that taking a dip into this icy cold lake will absolve them from all sin therefore; religious gathering takes place every year around the end of August. Except this, the area also offers one of the best views of the surrounding mountains. Thus, this is truly a journey to a part of the world where very few people have set foot until now.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Sightseeing / Free day
Day 03: Drive to Pattale
Day 04: Trek to Jhapre
Day 05: Rest day / acclimatization day
Day 06: Trek to Pike Base Camp
Day 07: Climb Pike (4065 m) and trek Junbesi
Day 08: Trek to Thupten Chholing
Day 09: Trek to Sangifuk 3940 m
Day 10: Trek to Sasarabeni (3835 m)
Day 11: Hike to Dudh Kunda (4561 m) and back to Sasarabeni
Day 12: Trek to Ringmu
Day 13: Trek to Phaplu (2470m) 5 hrs. Overnight at Camp / Lodge
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 15: Free day in Kathmandu for Shopping
Day 16: Transfer to airport for Journey back home
